Come and sing!

Singing in a choir is good for you! It’s more than just a fun hobby: it’s good for your health: from getting more oxygen into the blood, to increasing the flow of feelgood hormones and improving mental health.

Ipswich Bach Choir is a friendly choir and we welcome new members.

We usually perform two concerts a year with the Ipswich Chamber Orchestra and renowned soloists under the direction of Patrick McCarthy.

We look forward to holding one of our popular Singing Days in July. More information coming soon, please do join us!

Here’s how one choir member reports her experience of rehearsing with Ipswich Bach Choir:

Wednesday is a busy day for me, and I often don’t really feel like going along, but force myself to go, and when there the tiredness leaves me in the enjoyment of the music and companionship of the other choir members, and I leave feeling refreshed and invigorated.  It does me good.  For one thing, it keeps my brain working (particularly when the music is not familiar to me) and my lungs exercised.”

When we are able to the choir meets every Wednesday evening during the Spring and Autumn school terms, at St John’s Primary School, Victory Road, Ipswich IP4 4LE, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

So please come along to one of our rehearsals when they resume later this year…

We look forward to meeting you, and remember…

Singing is good for you!
